Concerns over the sand on the grass:

After much discussion during the last month it was decided that any attempt at a permanent fix would prove expensive as well as futile.

The vote was unanimous to have as much of the sand removed as possible and allow the grass to grow up through the remaining sand. Phil Masser will schedule someone to bring in a small tractor and skim the grass to remove the sand. It was also voted that we reinstall the snow fence at a 45 degree angle to the water to stop further sand from blowing on to the grass as shown below.

We also discussed having Northwoods mow the grass within 2 feet of the beach which will allow the grass to grow higher to form a barrier for the sand. This will be discussed in further detail once we remove the sand.

Maintenance for the year 2000:

The parking lot is scheduled to be sealed the week of May 22nd . if this doesn’t happen due to inclement weather it will be rescheduled for the 1st week in June. We are trying to avoid a messy situation for Memorial weekend.

The spiders were sprayed May 20th and we were told, by the people spraying, that it should last the season.

The sprinkler system is up and running. However there are a few sprinkler heads buried under the sand. Those zones have been shut down until the sand is removed. Also a 120’ extension had to be added between the pump and the lake due to the low water level.

Phil talked to Ray from Superior painting. Ray feels he quoted the wrong building and said he will come out the week of May 22nd to look at it again then schedule a time to complete the project.

Memorial Day clean-up:

Bob Holdreith is organizing the Memorial Day clean-up. He will drop a note in everyones door as well as mailing each owner a copy describing the things we need and the times and places for everyone who is participating to meet.

Bob Holdeith will call Windy Hill Landfill to make sure that we can dump the debris there on Saturday.

Walk-in items:

Phil Masser mentioned that unit #19 experienced a water leek in their chimney due to the aged sealant used around the crown of the chimney. Phil suggested that we get a quote for someone to reseal all the chimneys to prevent further problems, all agreed.

Next meeting June 24th at 10 am.

Meeting adjourned at 11:20a.m.
