Don't forget the Annual Owners Meeting on Saturday, August 31 at the Oscoda Yacht Club beginning at 10am.

From Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Hydrology page I've pulled this summary of current lake levels and the near term forcast -- "The Lakes Michigan-Huron water level is 12 inches below average but is 11 inches above last year. Lakes Michigan-Huron, St. Clair, Erie and Ontario have reached their annual peaks and will see declining levels in the next 4 weeks."

From the Save our Shoreline website I pulled the following quote concerning our ability to maintain our beach -- "The DEQ (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality) has asserted through various means that it owns the portion of the beach below a point 579.8 feet above sea level. Further, current legislation says that below that point, you may not "in any manner alter or modify" any part of the beach.
