I received this update from Jerry today:

The sprinkler system has been winterized. I guess they had a bitch of a time hauling the point with the new 20' extension up to the top of the hill. Took 4 guys but they got it done. As you may recall we eliminated the second check valve and installed galvinized fittings to tie the point & pipe together and along with the brass check valve we installed further up the line. Don't know why they didn't take it apart which could have easily been done. The double check valve scenerio was causing most of our problems.

Also the correct man hole cover was delivered and installed and according to Dean it looks good. All of the septic tanks on the south end were pumped and again a bill is forthcoming. Also, we need to budget for the tanks to be cleaned every year in the fall. I was there when they cleaned the North tanks and there was 3 feet of crust in the tanks and have been told there was 4 feet of crust in the south tanks. That's not good. According to the septic guy the tanks that Burt installed are actuallly too small to handle all the ---- especially if occupancy increases over the summer. Cleaning them every year is a hell of a lot cheaper than installing new septic tanks and leech fields.

Still no word from Ray on the snow contract.

Also I don't know if you heard but Sam Mariari had a heart attack several weeks ago. He had a stint put in and seems to be doing OK as we saw him the day we left.
