From Kirk:
Next weekend, which happens to be Memorial Day weekend, the association is planning it's Spring Clean up. We intend to meet in the Surf-N-Sand II parking lot at 10:00 AM on Saturday the 25th. The weather is supposed to be nice. It can only be better than last year. Here are the items we hope to accomplish:

1) Take down the snow fence and store it in the new shed. This will require about four people. More would naturally be better. It would help if anyone has a wheel barrel or cart to move the poles and fence to the shed.

2) Fix various sections of brick in the sidewalk. Some of the bricks have sunk so we need to get a bucket of sand, pull up the bricks and place a bit of sand under them.

3) Level the shed. We will need some 2 x 4s or bricks to put under the corners once it has been jacked up.

4) Clean up the berm at the entrance. Pull weeds and turn over the soil.

5) Clean up the ditch along US-23. We will pile up the debris, discard of what we can, and the big stuff will be hauled to the dump by Bob Holdrieth and his might Dodge Ram.

6) We have tried a few products to remove the rust from the vinyl siding. So far the only product we found that works is "Iron Out". Jay Wendt and I washed the back of the garages on the north side of the entrance yesterday and it seemed to work quite well. If we have enough participation we will do some of that as well.

This shouldn't take more than a few hours and Jerry Gossett from unit 28 will be barbecuing his famous hot dogs to keep our energy flowing. I realize everyone won't be able to make it but please reply so I am not standing in the parking lot all alone.
