Harwood, Lindberg win AuSable Marathon

The Traverse City Record Eagle reports on the results from the 2006 AuSable Canoe Marathon:

Jim Harwood and Allen Limberg won the 2006 AuSable River Canoe Marathon. Harwood, 41, of Grayling, and Limberg, 48, of Wausau, Wis., finished the 120-mile course in 14 hours, 33 minutes and 50 seconds, according to unofficial results. It was Harwood's 21st race and Limberg's eighth.

Defending champions Serge Corbin, of Canada, and Jeff Kolka, of Grayling, did not race due to injuries to both racers. The pair had won nine of the previous 10 AuSable races.
